We are moved in and unpacked and enjoying the house. We had our first family get-together, and we sat around the big table and ate together, then a storm blew up and a twister hit a few miles away! (Although Jen and Jordan were not with us so we haven't had an official family dinner!) The twister damaged a few trees and hit a neighbor west of us with high winds and high water. We weathered the storm with little damage but our new hydra-mulched yard was washed into the pond. At least we were all safe and the house stood firm. Casey and I were praying through the whole ordeal while we took cover in the front closet. Sarah, Mary Kathryn, Ashleigh, Lexi and Lydia were in another closet! It was scary and we are praising God that we were spared!
I am posting a video of a squirrel that really wanted in the house today. He was on the porch all afternoon trying to figure out a way to get through the glass. I finally got the camera out and took some video of him. We are enjoying the wildlife. The geese are fun to watch and there is a new family of brown/white ducks that are really cute.
