The Acre Yard!

James bought a riding lawnmower - his first! He has worked so hard on our acre lot since we moved into the house. The first job was to clear the grapevine and poison ivy that had consumed the trees. The vines were so large and thick that it took weeks of chopping and trimming to clear the trees. After the vines were cleared, they were in piles in the yard and needed to be burned/cleared. This weekend, the brush was finally hauled off - on the back of the riding lawnmower! I also posted a movie of the final haul! We are really excited to get that cleared out of the yard!

James has planted some trees and shrubs: knock-out roses, Autumn sage, Texas Lantana, Flame Acanthus, and American Beauty Berrie.

The yard is shaping up and the pond is in clear-sight now! We have a variety of beautiful flowers in two pots at the front door too. We look forward to your visit!
