We gathered to celebrate the life of Woody Brimer, who passed from this life to the next on October 6, shortly before midnight. I think he wanted to be sure he didn't miss another Thursday "date" with my mother, who he gently and lovingly cared for after my dad died. Woody was a servant of God, loving and caring for people all his life. He was a helper and friend to many, recording over 13,000 hours as a volunteer.
My parent's grandchildren posed for this picture. My uncle's great nephews conducted his service. John served as greeter and scripture reader, Joseph gave a beautiful message and tribute to his great uncle, and Bill led us in songs that Woody loved. What a remarkable man, who left a great legacy for his family.
