Nader Cup, 2011

Rev. Joseph wins in 4 hole “putt-off” with Rev. John!

It was a big day for our clergy kids. It was one of the most competitive matches in recent history and led to the second putt-off in Cup history.

The final standings were:

Joseph 3 holes
John 3 holes
EJ 2 holes
Jordan 1 hole
James 1 hole

What a start! EJ poured in a birdie on 1, and Joseph immediately covered it. EJ birdied two more of the next six holes, we almost had our first ace on 7. It looked to be a runaway, but Jordan popped for a net birdie on 2. Then Joseph and John lit up the back nine, at least for a few holes. Only 8 holes were halved, and several of us are kicking ourselves for missing putts that would have placed us in contention.

It was a cloudy, blustery, wonderful day for walking. We had a greeting party awaiting us at the 10th tee, and our 2 year old grand golfer threw a fit because we wouldn’t include him!

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
