Christmas 2012 was quiet. The children were scattered with other family obligations, but we managed to see everyone at one time or another. Most of us gathered at EJ and Sarah's in the morning and Becky and Dan's in the evening. Gifts were plenty, especially for the children. I am thankful for family - a large family! When we had four small boys, I didn't think about the number multiplying! What a blessing it is to gather together and hear the laughter and the fun!
Our Christmas time at James L. West Alzheimer's Center went well. Velma's short term memory is really impaired. She cannot remember anything past 2 minutes! She could not figure out who J.J. or Emmett (or anyone else for that matter) was. This photo was snapped when Jordan laid his new baby boy in her lap. Love at first sight, I think.
